The Pasadena Tournament of Roses will host #ThisGen 2024: A Youth Empowerment Forum presented by Pasadena City College on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m.

Back for the fourth year, #ThisGen will focus on empowering the next generation of leaders and give students the opportunity to learn about inspiring leadership, breaking barriers and aligning passion with skill sets. Attendees will leave feeling empowered to be courageous, confident and intentional with the choices that impact their future.

Registration is free of charge. Lunch will be provided by Panda Cares, a charitable foundation of national restaurant chain, Panda Express.

Senior Event Producer | OBE Ari Waller, a Fresno, CA native is a powerhouse in the world of production, events, and live entertainment. With over 15 years of industry experience. Her motto, ‘She believed she could, so she did,’ embodies her relentless determination and inspires all who encounter her story. Ari has served as an Event Manager at L.A. Live, Senior Manager of Events at Disneyland Resort and current role as a Senior Event Producer at OBE where she’s orchestrated seamless and unforgettable experiences that leave lasting impressions. But that’s not all – Ari’s magnetic presence has also graced the courts and fields as a professional dancer for the NBA’s Boston Celtics, NBA’s Sacramento Kings, and NFL’s San Francisco 49ers to her pivotal role as an in-arena host for the WNBA’s LA Sparks, PAC-12 Football/ Basketball, Jordan Brand and UCLA. Her ability to captivate audiences and elevate the game-day experience has solidified her reputation as a true industry luminary.

Bree Jensen

CEO/Founder | The Social Impact Firm Bree Jensen is the founder of The Social Impact Firm, an organization that partners with entrepreneurs, organizations, and communities to create meaningful projects. Bree has been a social entrepreneur specializing in youth well-being and educational support for 18 years. Bree enjoys working with clients to start their social enterprises, support impact projects, and with students through The Social Impact Student Leadership Program. Bree has been a national social impact media contributor and launched a podcast, The Social Impact Podcast, in May of 2022. She was also a Rachel’s Challenge Presenter (based on the first Columbine High School shooting victim), a Family Circle writer, an outreach presenter for Teen Line, and a community leader in Pasadena, CA. Bree is a mom of four and a former competitive athlete who loves going on adventures with her family.

Nina Osorio

Senior Manager | Panda Cares, Panda Restaurant Group Nina is the Senior Manager for Panda Cares, the philanthropic arm of Panda Express, the largest American Chinese quick service restaurant with over 2,300 locations across the world. For 17 years, Nina has led the national philanthropic efforts both internally and externally for the restaurant group; inspiring associates and guests to give back to their local communities. Nina and her team have proudly impacted over 16 million youth through food donations, grants, scholarships and have fed numerous communities during times of natural disasters. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Nina began supporting her community at a young age, by serving on Los Angeles-based boards advocating for youth with special needs and their siblings. Nina is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, and currently serves on the DEI committee for Panda Restaurant Group as well as a member of LA’s Community Leaders. Nina calls herself a student of life- continuously learning and growing personally and professionally. Nina’s greatest passion is her family; mom to her almost 13-year-old basketball playing daughter, 10-year-old soccer playing son, wife, and event organizer to her large extended family.

Corine Taylor

Senior Manager, Community Relations | LA28 – 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games Organizing Committee Corine Taylor has supported LA28 since the initial bid for LA24 and acts as LA28’s touchstone to our LA County neighbors, venue communities and local stakeholder groups. Corine works to build authentic relationships throughout the LA community and brings together teams to identify opportunities to engage local neighborhoods, organizations and Angelenos in 2028 Games planning. She advances LA28’s impact in areas of youth sport, economic empowerment, and healthy environments by bringing the LA28 brand to life at local community events, celebrations and festivals across the LA area.

Tiffany Yu

CEO & Founder | Diversability Tiffany Yu is the CEO & Founder of Diversability, an award-winning social enterprise to amplify disabled voices; the Founder of the Awesome Foundation Disability Chapter, a monthly micro-grant that has awarded $49.5k to 50 disability projects in 8 countries; and the host of TIFFANY & YU, the podcast. She serves on the San Francisco Mayor’s Disability Council and was a 2020 Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum Sustainable Development Impact Summit. At the age of 9, Tiffany became disabled as a result of a car accident that also took the life of her father. She started her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and has also worked at Bloomberg and Sean Diddy Combs’ REVOLT Media & TV. She is a 3x TEDx speaker and spoke on 5 sessions at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. She has been featured in Marie Claire, the Guardian, and Forbes.

Arielle Estoria

Poet. Author, Actor, & Artist Born and raised in foggy Northern California and now residing in Los Angeles CA with her spouse John, Arielle Estoria is a Published and commissioned Poet, Author and Actor and Model. Arielle graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a theater Emphasis to better understand the creative bridge between intellect and creativity, the mind and the heart. Arielle has shared her work through custom spoken word pieces, workshops and themed keynote talks with companies such as Google, Sofar Sounds, Lululemon, Dressember, Tedx, the SKIMS campaign by Kim Kardashian and more. She has consecutively emceed annual conferences and has led various writing, embodiment and self-acceptance workshops in various settings ranging from students to professional development spaces. In March 2023, Estoria released her first solo book of poetry titled, THE UNFOLDING an invitation to come home to yourself, with Harper One available wherever books, e-books and audiobooks are available.

Mario Godoy

Senior Product Designer | Mattel Mario currently serves as Lead Graphic Designer with the Hot Wheels Diecast team. He has worked on Diecast cars, Character Cars, Comic Con items, Fingerboards, Mario Kart, and I’m most focused on our Hot Wheels Monster Trucks. As Lead Graphic Designer, Mario replicates graphics for authenticity (like graphics for Mario Karts, Disney Character Cars, DC Batmobiles, etc.) but also creates completely original graphics and Illustrations trucks and fingerboards. He also designs original Monster Trucks that will debut in 2024!

Nic Mercado

Vice President of Digital Marketing | William Morris Endeavor (WME) Nic is currently the Vice President of Digital Marketing at William Morris Endeavor (WME), a global leader in Entertainment, Sports, and Fashion. She currently serves as the Market Lead for Endeavor’s Proud Board. She has over 15 years of experience in Digital Marketing and has led global campaigns for Entertainment, Tech, Food & Beverage, Beauty, and Lifestyle brands. Notable clients include Microsoft, Amazon, Unilever, SONY, and Warner Bros. Additionally, she has also served on the LA Pride Board for over 3 years and is part of the Executive Committee. For over 50 years, LA Pride has served the Los Angeles LGBTQ+ community by organizing the world-famous LA Pride Parade, and Festival. Her passion for creating cultural impact has helped many brands navigate the world with authentic and engaging stories.

Mason X. Bryant

Board Member | National Football Foundation A native of Southern California, Mason attended and graduated from Monrovia High School in 2013. Mason was a dual sport athlete at Monrovia with accolades including being a 3-time CIF football champion, two time all CIF, 3 time All area and 3 time All league in both football and track and for those works received that National Football Foundation scholar athlete award. Upon graduation from Monrovia, Mason attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, graduating in 2017. Mason was recruited to play on the football team where upon graduation was a two-time Ivy League champion in football. Mason now sits on multiple nonprofit boards including the National Football foundation and his Regional Alumni Board. Professionally Mason is a wealth management advisor with Merrill Lynch in Pasadena.

Janette Espino

Senior Manager of Commerce | Angel City Football Club Janette Espino is a California native, proudly born and raised in the city of Long Beach, where she attended CSULB. Janette’s career began in the world of children’s toys, where she had the privilege of working with renowned companies such as Mattel, Fisher-Price, Zuru, Zak Designs, and many more from 2014 to 2018. Taking her experience to new heights, Janette joined Rank and Rally in 2018, where she served as a buyer for prestigious sports teams including the Lakers, Clippers, Kings, and Sparks. Currently, Janette holds the position of Senior Manager of Commerce for Angel City Football Club. In this role, she combines her passion for sports and commerce, leveraging her vast knowledge and experience to drive success for the club

Austin Naylor

Manager of Operations | SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park Growing up in Huntington Beach, California Austin has always been a passionate competitor and consumer of sports. His career goals have shifted and changed throughout the years, but his vision to one day work in Football has always remained constant. While working on his Master’s Degree in Sports Management, Austin began his career in Sports and Entertainment working for USC in the Operations Department at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Since then, Austin has had the opportunity to work for many different organizations in Football including Steinberg Sports and Entertainment, The Los Angeles Rams, and the NFL Network. Austin became a member of the Opening Team of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park in 2020 as a Coordinator in the Operations Department. He was promoted to Manager of Operations in 2022, and he holds that position today.
